The Children's Ministries Department seeks to develop the faith of children from birth to age fourteen. Reaching out to children, nurturing them, leading them, and drawing them into a loving, productive and lasting, serving relationship with Jesus and a commitment to the Seventh-day Adventist.
The department is committed to making sure that all church programs include spiritual, social and mental growth for this segment of the membership of the church, and to train, resource, and support those who minister to children.
It also includes the education of the parents of this age group, while trying at the same time to impact this same group within the community. Resources are produced regularly to nurture the spiritual growth of children, and ongoing leadership trainings are conducted to equip children's leaders, teachers and parents to minister effectively.
A new support function has been created by the department leader in the new program that encourages Children's Music Festivals. This initiative has been widely supported throughout the Conference
